Though it may seem unorthodox for a highly trained surgeon to go into the business of finding medical therapeutics to alter the course of nervous and immune system disorders, Dr. Stewart has spent years making his previous surgical expertise less of a necessity and more of a way to provide doctors treatment protocols through modern medicine and cutting edge nutritional products. He completed his formal medical education in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas at Houston/MD Anderson Hospital System and continued his training with a fellowship in Neurotology/Skull Base Surgery from Baylor University Medical Center.
In 1994, he arrived in Austin and began focusing on the treatment of complicated vestibular and nervous system syndromes using surgical procedures. In rapidly increasing numbers, patients suffering from severe neurological syndromes such as vertigo, imbalance, hearing loss, and memory disorders began arriving at his doorstep. These patients had previously only found treatment for their symptoms. By necessity, he gradually became an expert in in these areas. Dr. Stewart also became attracted to the field of medicine called “neurotrophism” which focuses on new methods for altering or reversing the progression of degenerative syndromes of the nervous system and weakening of the immune system. He began using therapies aimed at reducing inflammation of the nervous system, supporting the immune system and returning the body’s hormonal and nutrition status to a better state. In 2002, Dr. Stewart was granted a U.S. patent for the network integration of a state-of-the-art diagnostic testing suite known as Sensory View™.
Today Dr. Stewart has expanded his practice and expertise in the genomics field and in particular Nutrigenomics. He serves as a medical expert in Nutrigenomics along with other MDs from all areas of expertise. Through hundreds of lectures and provider workshops, Dr. Stewart is a highly sought after physician and continues to lecture around the world.
