Headaches and Migraines: Causes & Treatment - Episode 4
Monday Oct 06, 2014
Monday Oct 06, 2014
Dr. Stewart discusses in episode 4 the biochemistry behind why someone may suffer from chronic headaches and migraines. Many times it may be linked to a methylation deficiency, hormonal imbalance, food sensitivities, allergies, post concussion and other genetic factors. Listen to how Dr. Stewart explains to access your situation and possibly begin to support the body with proper nutritional support.
Migraine is an extraordinarily common neuro-immune syndrome that affects 36 million men, women and children in the United States.
- Nearly 1 in 4 U.S. households includes someone with migraine.
- Migraine tends to run in families. If one parent suffers from migraine, there is a 40% chance a child will suffer. If both parents suffer, the chance rises to 90%.

Dr. Kendal Stewart and Host Kara Stewart-Mullens discuss Methylation and what it means to you and your family's health. Listen to Dr. Stewart's explanation and how he helps his patient's recover from a methylation deficiency.
Methylation helps the body rid itself of toxins and assures that the new cells you must make everyday are exact copies of the ones that are being replaced. Methylation also converts water soluble vitamins into the proper fat soluble form so that proper nutrition can be delivered to the nervous and immune systems. This process is responsible for over 250 processes in the body.
Overcoming a MTHFR polymorphism/mutation or methylation deficiency with supplementation may take at least 2-3 months to show signs of improvement due to epigenetic factors. Initially the patient may be worse, more symptomatic, because the immune system wakes up and begins to "clean house". - Kendal Stewart, M.D./Neuro-Immune Specialist
